God shows no partiality! The Apostle Paul repeatedly uses this phrase to confront hierarchical tendencies within the early Christian community. As a church that confesses that Christ is Lord of all and that all people are created in God’s image, standing against racism and white supremacy is imperative and holds theological significance.
Join in the conversation as we explore both the theological foundations for antiracism as discipleship and what it looks like to commit to antiracist ministries and practices as a church.
The presenter, Pastor Tim Maybee, serves the community of Amazing Grace Lutheran Church in Inver Grove Heights and as chair of the Saint Paul Area Synod Advocates for Racial Equity. He lives in St. Paul with his wife, Lindsey, child, Charlotte (2), and two old dogs Hank and Ruth.
