Children’s Ministry
SUMMER MINISTRIES (June-Aug) Vacation Bible School, Summer Day Trips, Family Fellowship Events and more!
SUNDAY SCHOOL (Sundays, 9:40-10:20 AM, Sept-May) 3 years old and potty trained through 4th grade dismiss after the Children’s Message during the 9:30 service. Children return to the worship center in time to receive a blessing or Holy Communion with their grown-ups.
NURSERY Redeemer will be offering a nursery services beginning mid September for parents that wish to use it. The nursery will be open from 9:15-10:45 during Sunday worship for children age 9 months through 5 years (children eligible for Sunday school will be taken from the nursery for class and returned to the nursery when class is finished). All nursery staff and volunteers will have a current background check and CPR/First Aid training on file.
FROLIC a ministry for children age 3 (as of September 1) through Kindergarten. We meet Wednesday nights during worship from 6pm-6:45. Children will learn about Jesus through stories, crafts, and play. We meet at St. Stephen Lutheran September-November, at Redeemer Lutheran December-May
KIDS IN CHRIST’S KINGDOM (KICKin’ It!) a ministry for children in 1st-3rd grade. We meet Wednesday nights from 5:30pm-6:15. Children will learn about Jesus through stories, crafts, and play. We meet at St. Stephen Lutheran September-November, at Redeemer Lutheran December-May. We do not meet on 5th Wednesdays.
FAITH QUEST (Pre-Confirmation) a ministry for children in 4th-6th grade. We meet Wednesday nights from 5:30pm-6:15. Children will use the “Connect” curriculum to start to explore how their faith works in their everyday life. We meet at St. Stephen Lutheran September-November, at Redeemer Lutheran December-May. We do not meet on 5th Wednesdays.
Youth Ministry
MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS (GRADES 7-12)
YOUTH GROUP: 2nd and 4th Wednesdays from 7pm-8 at St. Stephen Lutheran September-November, at Redeemer Lutheran December-May
A safe place for youth in 7th-12th grade to grow in Christ, have fun, make friends, and serve the community.
CONFIRMATION (Grades 7-9): 1st, 3rd, and 5th Wednesdays from 7pm-8:30 at St. Stephen Lutheran September-November, at Redeemer Lutheran December-May
Students are encouraged, strengthened and equipped for their faith journey and prepared to claim/affirm their baptism through the study of Bible stories, Luther’s Small Catechism and a handbook of basic Christian faith principles which explores Baptism, Communion, the Ten Commandments, The Apostle’s Creed and the Lord’s Prayer. Confirmation is Pastor lead.
Family & Fellowship Events and Faith Milestones
FAMILY NIGHTS / EVENTS Fellowship Events for all families and members are hosted throughout the year with our Partners in Ministry, Lake Area Discovery Center Preschool. Traditional events include Trunk or Treat (October), the Advent Fair (December), The Jolly Pops concert (February), Mardi Gras Party with Pancake Breakfast (Februaryl) and more! Faith Milestones
Faith Milestones include: Baptism, Anniversary of Baptism, Blessing of Backpacks, First Communion, Presentation of Bibles, Rite of Confirmation , and High School Senior Recognition.
Youth who have finished 7th grade through youth who have finished 12th grade at the end of the 2025/2026 school year are welcome to join us for the Charleston, South Carolina Service Learning trip. Please join us for one of the information sessions if you have questions about the trip. In order to secure your child’s spot on the trip a simple registration form and $100 deposit are due October 31. Click here to register.
