As one way of following Jesus’ command to love one another, we at Redeemer Lutheran Church are intentional about creating ways to build loving relationships through fellowship and mutual support. Some of the ways this ministry is carried out are listed below:
Coffee Corner
Providing a time after worship services on Sunday morning to gather for coffee and conversation with friends both old and new
Holiday Fair
A much anticipated annual event that showcases the gifts and talents of many in our congregation and raises funds for outreach projects
Care Partners
Members of the congregation who visit folks who are homebound and share news of the congregation, connection and care, as well as communion and prayer
Grief Support
A way of reaching out to people who have experienced the death of a loved one, through visits, cards, and mailed resources as well as lifting up opportunities for ongoing grief support within the wider community
Healing Hearts
A group of women experiencing heart issues or other chronic conditions who meet together monthly for mutual support, encouragement, and prayer
Prayer Shawl Ministry
Sharing love with people who are hospitalized or struggling in some way through the gift of a handmade prayer shawl to wrap them in God’s love and the love of our congregation
Funeral Lunch Ministry
A ministry offered to families to set up and serve refreshments or a lunch following a funeral or memorial service at the church.
For more information on any of these ministries or to see how you might become involved, please contact Pastor Mary Froiland, Pastor for Congregational Care and Visitation, at mfroiland@redeemerwhitebear.org.
